Who is CARA?

CARA (Coastal Animal Rescue and Adoption) is a nonprofit organization, entirely run by volunteers and supported by your donations. CARA volunteers work to trap and provide veterinary care for stray/feral animals in the Westport/Grayland Washington area. We advocate for trap, neuter, return practices for established feral cat colonies to improve the health of our working cats while preventing overpopulation.

Pet Food Bank

Funds received help feed our local Jetty Cats as well as assist local residents who feed feral colonies. Food and cash donations can be dropped off at SeaBirds Candy & Gifts, 2563 Westhaven Drive, Westport.

What You Can Do To Work With Or Help This Important Charity?

Volunteers are often needed to assist with our TNR programs. Help with trapping and transporting are needed. Often times we come into situations where we have several cats in our temporary shelter. These cats may need feeding and cleaning of their kennels and best of all just time being loved.

Foster families are almost always needed and especially for kittens as they need to be of a certain weight and health to be adopted. Contact us to learn how.
